Large Apothecary Chest- Late 19th Century Mahogany + Bronze Pulls (crafting/knitting/coffee table!)
Antique apothecary chests are each so unique with craftsmanship construction. This late 19th century (possibly very early 20th century) late Victorian apothecary chest can function in today's world with ease, it would be great as a coffee table and for any type of storage like: crafting, sewing, knitting, tea, jewelry, etc.). Great condition for its age!
The details:
measures 39.25" L x 19.5" W x 21.25" H
the finish has only been cleaned up and hydrated, so all age and character marks remain
naturally aged patina forged bronze pulls
20 drawers! 10 on each side
Mahogany wood
drawers box fronts constructed with lap joints
screws used for construction have hand-cut flathead slots
1 drawer bottom has been replaced, but a matched stain was used to finish it so it blends well
side has a crack at the wood seam where planks were joined, but it seems stabilized at its age now
sturdy, no wobbles!
